We have been studying about liquids for science and I found a great experiment for the older boys, so in the after noon when it was just them, we tested different substances to see how soluble they were in water.
We used cornstarch, flour, baking soda, salt and flour. Here is the table all set up for the experiment.
A close up of one of the stations, the kids rotated around the table trying each of the different substances.
I printed an experiment sheet from EduPlace.com for the boys to record their predictions, what they observed, and finally how soluble the substance was.
