Harvest Festival 2012

We were able to spend a nice fall day out at Vineyard 354 Family Farm, for their Harvest Festival located in Lawton, Michigan. The Harvest Festival they have offers so many wonderful things for families to do all while making you feel like your family!

Here are some of the things the Harvest Festival 2012 offered:
Upon arriving the kids got a sucker, ring, Halloween tattoo, and wonderful conversation with the workers who were so friendly to all of us! The kids then headed over to the nice warm campfire, and roasted marshmallows!

They had roasting sticks for the kids to use so all they had to do was enjoy their marshmallow, another wonderful thing was they put their stick in a special bucket when done that cleaned the stick off for the next person, nice!!

We didn't have any wait for the kids to get on the wagon train and go for a ride around the farm which was wonderful for little impatient ones. The seats were big enough that we ended up putting 2 kids into a seat in the back so everyone would fit, they even had some foam on the seats to make them more comfortable! Gabe didn't want to ride because he had just woken up, but the rest of the kids got on for a fun tractor ride.

The kids coming back up the path on the wagon train, and Serena trying to duck out of the picture :)

They had festive decorations all around that the kids enjoyed looking at. Gabe had just woke up when we got there and didn't want to go on the train ride, so he posed by the spider webs instead.

We all go on the wagon ride for a trip into the "spooky field".. The driver was so great with the kids, and made them laugh. He made the ride so much fun and personal for everyone including the adults! He even took time out to explain the grapes to the kids and how to tell if they were still good to eat or not, I was amazed at the personal attention given by the workers!

As we entered the field there was a Ghost hanging from a tree.

There were little ghosts along the path that the boys enjoyed spotting!

The trees were beautiful fall colors.

After the Wagon Ride, it was time for the much anticipated Jump house they had out for the kids, it was so much fun, I'm sure they would have been happy if I would have just left them there all day :)

Inside there was an obstacle course, things for the kids to climb on, slide down, boy did they enjoy it!

After the kids were finished enjoying the bounce house, we went and enjoyed a yummy meal of from the concessions stand, some delicious homemade pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs while we warmed up by the fire we made so many wonderful family memories here!

Before we left, the kids each picked out their own pumpkins they had a good selection and all pumpkins big and small were only $3!!

It was a wonderful way to spend a fall afternoon! Thank you so much Vineyard 354 Family Farm for providing my family with this wonderful opportunity for a fun Fall Day, I look forward to going back next year!!
