I dyed rainbow colored rice for Ethan's shamrock to hang on his locker at school, and made some for our very cool, much loved rainbow sensory bin. We had a bunch of the rainbow rice still left over, so I had the kids use it to make a rainbow art project idea.
What is needed for this project?
Glue (liquid glue works best)
Step 1 ~ Trace the outline of a rainbow on your card stock using a pencil so you can erase any mistakes. I had the kids label each of their rainbow sections with the starting letter and learn the colors of the rainbow Roy G. BIV.
Step 2 ~ Add glue to 1 section at a time, sprinkle your rice on the glue using the correct color of rice. Continue this step with each sections of your rainbow until you have your rainbow filled in.
Here are the finished rainbows the boys made. They are now hanging around the house for a colorful, easy, and fun St. Patrick's Day decoration!
Have you posted about a St. Patrick's Day idea, this year or a previous year? I would love if you would take a minute and linked up to my new St. Patrick's Day linky party.
