A Working Vacation

The rest of this week, the weekend, and next week is going to be very busy for us, and I wanted to let you all know that I won't be on the internet much at all. We have a doctors appointment today 2 1/2 hours away from us, for me to meet with the cardiologist at U of M, and then early tomorrow morning we are leaving on a 6 hour road trip with 6 kids. My cousin is getting married this weekend in Iowa, so we are taking a road trip down there and staying Saturday night. On Sunday, not sure if we will go on a boat tour of the Mississippi river, or going to the Science Museum down there, I will share pictures when we get back. I will be sharing some pictures on Instagram along the way if you want to stay up to date!

I have to be honest we haven't taken all of the kids of more then 1 1/2 hour road trip, and I'm not sure how well Gabe is going to do since and hour car ride with him is miserable :) Because Ethan often travels with us for the 2 1/2 hour car ride to my many doctors appointments at the U of M about once a month he shouldn't have any problems. We will be making a couple stops along the way at parks for the kids to get their energy out.

Jake will be starting vacation this weekend through next weekend, and we are planning on getting lots of things done around the house. We are pulling the stained carpet and then the very old damaged hardwood floors up from the living room and dining room, and putting in hardwood floors like we did in the bedrooms and hallway a while back. I am so excited because after 5 years of kids running around on our carpet it is not in great shape and having hardwood floors will be so much easier to keep clean with 6 kids :) We also have a few spring projects to get done so there isn't much time to relax during this vacation! I will share some pictures when we are done!

I have a couple reviews that will be going up but won't be here to answer comments, emails, and such! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and week! See you all next weekend!

And a photo to leave you with.... See the blue and white bag in front of the fridge? That was the culprit a 25 pound bag of flour.....

Story behind the picture:
So a few weeks back Jake was downstairs getting laundry done and I was finally getting a chance to get through the many, many pictures that are on my moms computer so that I can transfer them. All the sudden I hear Serena freaking out at the 2 little boys, and then Jake comes up and takes them into a shower because they are COVERED in flour, and so is the back porch!! This is what it loked like after the vacuum had already sucked some up, the little boys thought it would be fun to throw the 25lb bag of flour we have all over and then roll them selves in it! It was a MESS that took many, many hours to clean up!!  I have to say this is probably one of the biggest messes those 2 have ever made!! We also decided that we will now store the 25lb bag of flour on a shelf very high up :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and week!!!
