Last Easter we had a lot of fun making different eggs for Easter, really we just make them to eat because my kids love eating hard boiled eggs! So we had different kids decorate eggs a few different ways each day for the next 4 days I will be sharing a different way to decorate your Easter Eggs. The first way we colored eggs was just plain old dying eggs. Ethan, Gabe, and Anthony all did these.
Easter Egg Dying:
2 Cups boiling water
2 TBS Vinegar
Whatever color Food Coloring wanted
I use gel food coloring most of the time, because it makes everything you are dying brighter then liquid food coloring. I purchased our set from Amazon.
Add the 2 TBS of vinegar into each of your bowls.
Add desired amount of food coloring to your vinegar and mix well.
Boil 2 cups of water for each bowl you have .
Add 2 cups of boiling water to each of your bowls.
Stir each of your bowls.
That is it. Super simple!
I picked these trays up at WalMart for $.99 each. They were great to set the eggs on to dry.
These are the items we had to put the eggs into the colors and to take them out. The pink bunny was great for Gabe to use, but the metal ones were more difficult for the younger kids, so they ended up just using spoons.
The boys had just as much fun eating them as they had making them :)
We made these in the morning and by just after lunch time the boys had eaten all of them!
